Film for Families

Alyona and Sasha Yukhymchuk cannot knock on every door in Ukraine, but using the mediums of television and Internet, they are attempting to enter thousands of living rooms across the nation to promote family values.

The Yukhymchuks, who are the leaders of Family Ministries at YWAM Lutsk, said their latest project involves filming 11 episodes aimed at providing reliable and practical information for youth and young families about how to solve marital problems and build healthy family relations, and sprung out of a great need for family education in Ukraine.

“Many post-Soviet families lack information on how to build and sustain relationships within marriage,” said Alyona, who is producing the videos.

“This project’s goal is to reveal the true source of love, through which people would find strength, so that they can apply the principles of family life and have a happy and a successful marriage.”

"All members of our production team are totally devoted to this task," adds Sasha. "We believe that producing this series will help us and many other Christians in the Slavic world share about Jesus with those who are hurting.”

The first episode enacts a true story about a married couple who experienced numerous family problems until they had an encounter with God and were able to restore their love for one another and their marriage. The second episode, which began filming on March 1st, will focus on building trust in families.
