Teaching and Ministry Development and Practicum

...designed to prepare and equip those with a teaching gift to teach and minister in YWAM training programs worldwide.

Course Objectives:

• Participants will learn how to communicate in the role of a teacher

• Learn theoretical and practical principles of teaching, group discussion, and creative teaching elements

• Improve teaching skills through evaluation of videoed teaching sessions

• Learn cultural diversity and sensitivity in a teaching context

• Learn and practice teaching with an interpreter

• Develop a twelve-hour teaching outline on a selected YWAM topic

• Develop basic skills for counseling students

• Learn about spirituality, boundaries, ethics, and authority as a teacher

• CCM506 - 6 credits from the University of the Nations

• CCM507 - 1-2 credits for Practicum - teach 1-2 weeks in a DTS

Hosted at YWAM Salem, OR, USA, a beautiful 35-acre campus. Tuition/Housing Cost: $1025.00 (not including airfare to/from Portland, OR). Outreach travel expense to overseas location to be determined later.
