New YWAM Promotional Materials

YWAM has always needed promotional media to represent the mission. In response to several requests over the years for up-to-date, relevant materials, a major undertaking has begun to improve communication within and about our mission. Over the past two years many YWAMers involved in communication ministries have met to network and strategize on how to improve communication. This group, known as CRIT (Communication, Research and Information Technology), is helping create much-needed pieces to promote and support YWAM.
Over the next months, promotional materials will be available to accompany the recently updated Go Manual and www.ywam.org . These include:
  • Several brochures
  • A DVD containing multiple videos for different audiences
  • A corporate information packet

Brochures ( available now ):
One single brochure cannot cover all the informational, recruiting and cultural communication needs throughout YWAM. Instead, a number of designs have been created, which express YWAM in a variety of formats while simultaneously communicating a unified message. New technologies make it possible to customize brochures by translating them into local languages, adding ministry/base contact information, addressing security issues, etc. to suit various cultural and local needs. YWAM ministries and bases can now order generic printed brochures, order a CD of the artwork for local printing, or work with the design team to customize designs for your specific use. Corporate Info Pack:
A corporate information packet will present a clear explanation of YWAM. It will describe our values, our mission, and our diversity of ministry, work and cultural representation. The packet will be printed in 5 major languages as a formal presentation of YWAM as a credible mission agency. It is intended to communicate to government agencies, legal entities, visa officials, and major donors. The corporate information folder is expected to be available in late 2008 (provided we can get a good team working on it).

Branding:
It is also important for the mission to display a unified international image. Through a consistent use of the YWAM logo and other communication pieces, we can better reflect our unity and diversity. Guidelines for creating various media pieces should be released in 2008.
These new media, together with www.ywam.org and the Go Manual, will help communicate YWAM's uniqueness and diversity in a consistent way throughout the world. Many of these products will be available together in the future in a "YWAM Promo Pack."
