  1. LATVIA: The latest link in the world's longest-running prayer chain has been forged in this former Communist republic, with the carrying of an Olympic-style torch.
  2. UNITED STATES: A group of young African Christians traveled to one of the centers of the former slave trade to express their sorrow for the past - and leave a message of hope for the future - as part of an international reconciliation movement.
  3. UGANDA: A former "den of thieves" has become a symbol of hope in a country devastated by AIDS.
  4. UNITED STATES: The premiere performance of a dramatic re-enactment of one of this century's most famous missionary stories will hold special significance for several of the audience, next month - families of the "Auca" martyrs.
  5. SUDAN: Three Christian relief workers miraculously escaped serious injury when their aircraft crashed on landing.
  6. UNITED STATES: Thousands of Christians from around the world traveled to Atlanta to help share the gospel with everyone from the "hopefuls" to the hopeless during the Summer Olympics. Their outreach went on as planned despite the bombing.
  7. UNITED STATES: As the world turns away from Atlanta with the end of the 1996 Summer Olympics, a group of Christians in the city also look forward to getting their church back...
  8. MADAGASCAR: A decision to forfeit dreams of Olympic gold helped a medical missionary group care for the country's poor and needy.
