Stuart Young, an ordained minister since 1979, is presently serving
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) directing the Teacher Resource Center,
which recruits and equips teachers for YWAM and other ministry
training programs. He teaches regularly in leadership seminars,
church planting and leadership schools and Discipleship Training
Schools around the world. Stuart also voluntarily serves as a
Regent and the Dean of Missions for Columbia
Evangelical Seminary and is an adjunct professor for Northwest
University, Salem campus.
Previously the YWAM DTS director and later the director of Training
in Honolulu ('84-'92), his missionary work has taken him and his
family around the world. He has also served five years in pastoral
ministry prior to his missionary service. His wife Sharon and
five children work with him. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology
at California State University, Long Beach; a Master of Divinity
from Fuller Theological Seminary; and a Doctor of Missions (hon.),
from Faraston Theological Seminary.
